The Little Skool-House By-The-Vista is an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP). The IB World School is a global community of schools that share a common philosophy - a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that (this school) believes is important for our students.

Shu Ann has been an Early Childhood professional since 2008. She believes that each child is born to be a competent learner and explorer, and that the environment plays a vital role in unleashing each child’s potential.

Inspired by John Shedd, who said, “Ships in the harbour are safe, but that’s not what ships are built for”, Shu Ann believes in helping her students discover their own capabilities and making a positive impact in their lives and the lives of others.

Viewing her role as a leader who is flexible and open-minded to cater to the needs of the families, and one who is a good role model to the children, she is committed to acquiring new knowledge and skills consistently. In doing so, she looks forward to more rewarding moments in her career in the years to come. Shu Ann has also successfully led her team to attain the International Baccalaureate Certification for the Primary Years Programme in her school in the year of 2015.

Shu Ann holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education.

Yoke Hiang believes that stories inspire new learning the best, and draws from children’s literature to relate her learning messages. In Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae and Guy Parker-Rees,  Gerald the Giraffe says: “We all can dance when we find music that we love.”

As supported by the quote, Yoke Hiang knows, through her nine years of teaching experience, that children perform better when engaged in activities they enjoy doing. She strongly believes that children are all unique in their own ways, and ensures that her team understand the children’s needs and interests in order to provide appropriate learning opportunities for them to excel and unleash their potential.

Yoke Hiang holds Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education.
